dr. aaron albin, executive director
Aaron has over 20 years of experience as a teacher, conductor, pianist, and vocal coach, having worked with Ravinia Music Festival, Stage West Theatre, Musical Theatre of Denton, Des Moines Symphony Academy, and Ascolti String Orchestra (also a Co-Founder), as well as serving as a guest clinician throughout the Midwest. Within arts administration, Aaron worked for the Chicago Chamber Musicians, Merit School of Music, and Des Moines Metro Opera. In addition to his Executive Director duties, he serves as the Director of Marketing Operations at Conn-Selmer, Inc. and is a Faculty Member (voice and piano) at Merit School of Music in Chicago, IL. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts and a Master of Music (both in Conducting), as well as a Certificate in Arts Leadership all from the University of North Texas. He also has a Bachelor of Music Education from Simpson College.
mark Albin, artistic director
The former Executive Director for the inaugural season of Breaking Ground Theatre and Artistic Director for the Performing Arts Program in Franklin Park, IL, Mark is an award winning director, receiving an IHSA acknowledgment for his production of The Little Prince. He has assistant directed alongside Michael Halberstam, Artistic Director of the nationally recognized Writers Theatre, on Definition Theatre Company's A Doll's House. In South Bend, he choreographs for the South Bend Civic Theatre and Clay High School Visual and Performing Arts Magnet. Mark also acts on equity stages such as Mercury Theater's Joseph Jefferson nominated production of A Christmas Schooner, Chicago's Pinkalicous: The Musical, and originating the role of Tadd in Ryan Scott Oliver's The Frog Prince Continued.
